This coffee is from the Huehuetenango region located on the pacific slopes of Southwestern Guatemala. Twenty farmers founded the Co-Op in 1989, and have grown 711 members. The coffee is grown at an altitude between 3,900 feet and 5,250 feet above sea level. It is hand picked, prepared using the wet method and sun dried. It is well-balanced, medium body with a pronounced acidity with delightful smokey overtones in the cup, and a hint of chocolate in the finish.
