Joffrey's has created a community of people with a taste for the best gourmet coffees and the finest teas from around the world. Today, Joffrey's can be found at resorts and hotels, fine restaurants, coffee shops, and gourmet stores and supermarkets. However, without our excited fans, our company wouldn't amount to more than a hill of beans.
Who is Joffrey?
In 1984, we set out to create our business plan with little more than passion and dreams dancing in our heads of circling the globe searching for premium coffees and the best black, red, white, and green tea leaves. Passion and dancing dreams had been a successful formula for the Joffrey Ballet and with that, Joffrey's Coffee and Tea Company was born.
We take our name and inspiration from that great American dance troupe; we aim to create art with our gourmet coffees and teas and strive to fascinate our fans as they explore the sensual depths of each cup. We began by importing and hand-roasting our very own gourmet coffee, and now we roast to order more than 75 different premium coffees and later incorporated gourmet teas to our offerings. Joffrey's Coffee and Tea Company is proud to call Tampa, Florida home. In our city by the bay, you can stroll through historic Ybor City and smell the exotic scent of Cuban coffee roasting or walk along Florida's largest port and see ships from around the world at anchor. As imported coffee and tea geeks, we could not ask a for a better location.
Bringing you the world in a cup
At Joffrey's we truly will go to the ends of the earth for our customers. Our roastmaster travels the globe searching for the finest specialty grade Arabica beans available. You won't need a passport to enjoy the beans grown on Mt. Kenya or those that are washed in the fresh, rainforest waters of Costa Rica.
We believe in making the world a better place one cup at a time. We help ensure that the coffee farmers with whom we partner are treated fairly by purchasing Fair Trade Certified coffee which meets our strict quality standards. And who says social responsibility is for the birds? We do! Joffrey's Organic Colombian coffee is grown on a plantation approved by the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center as Bird Friendly®.
We never consider our work a grind
We respect and appreciate the history and tradition of the coffee and tea process. Joffrey's hand selects only the best gourmet coffee beans for our organic, varietals and blends, origin, dark roasts and flavored coffees.
